About
Unencumbered by gravity, Flying Flashlight shines the light of questing curiosity upon the marvelous nooks of our kaleidoscope world.
It’s by M. Amedeo Tumolillo.
Hello, fried Oreo.
Who’s he? Well, he’s me. Here are a few things that I create:
Minus the omelettes, you’ll find all of the above on Flying Flashlight.
It is is my personal magazine, lifestyle column, complaint box, war room, analysis platform, idea-distribution center, entertainment zone, soap box, cv and classroom.
The site could grow. Into what, I don’t know. Maybe I’ll open it to other information mechanics. Maybe I won’t. Maybe it’s the start of a publishing empire. Maybe it’s the first step into my digital grave. Could be a waste of time. Or not.
Guess we’ll find out.
What’s up with the name?
Without overly tearing into the metaphors, let’s just say that ideas are light, light illuminates, tools are humanity’s miracle, batteries astound, and anything with wings can go wherever it wants, gravity be damned.
Factoids
Look, ma, a caveat
Anything I say on this site does not reflect the policies or perspectives of my employer, The New York Times.
Just making that clear.
If you would like to see my résumé, it’s here.
Thanks for visiting. Enjoy.
